Default Looking For PvE Rit Build

Hey guys! I am looking for a powerful PvE build for a Rit/Necro.
What skills should I use?

Do you plan to implement your second profession?

Any PvE only skills in mind?

Spirits?

I don't really know if I should use spirits. I just want to be a good Ritualist player, they are supporting class right? So I guess I want to do some good damage, use my second profession too, and help out other players and buff em.

Most used PvE rit build for me:

[skill]splinter weapon[/skill]
[skill]ancestors' rage[/skill]
[skill]Weapon of Warding[/skill] or [skill]weapon of shadow[/skill]
Some PvE skill, usually the ebon vanguard ward or another defensive skill like [skill]protective was kaolai[/skill] or pure was li ming.
Another utility slot/PvE skill, often pain inverter, summoned sin or [skill]spirit rift[/skill]
[skill]offering of spirit[/skill]
[skill]recovery[/skill] or [skill]life[/skill] or [skill]recuperation[/skill]
[skill]death pact signet[/skill]

The only things glued to my bar are splinter, rage, DP signet and offering. 4 slots to push out whatever utility you like most is awesome.

Heinously copied from my post in another thread.

Yes, you are correct. Rits are a support class. In GvG, rits are used to buff melee allies with [skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill], assist monks in healing with spells such as [skill]Mend Body and Soul[/skill] [skill]Wielder's Boon[/skill] and [skill]Protective was Kaolai[/skill], and are excellent runners with survivability and a skill or two from the second profession.

I run my rit close to that. However, you can do whatever you like with yours. Seeing you want to do damage, then [skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill] and [skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill] are your main damaging spells. Although they are indirect, and you can't see the pretty yellow numbers , they do a hell of a lot more damage than the other Rit spells.

[skill]Destructive was Glaive[/skill] is good pressure damage, but it is tricky to use because of the enchant removal.

A good PvE Rit build is:

[skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill][skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill][skill]Weapon of Warding[/skill][skill]Weapon of Remedy[/skill][skill]Protective was Kaolai[/skill][skill]Wielder's Boon[/skill][skill]Mend Body and Soul[/skill][skill]Death Pact Signet[/skill]

What games do you have anyway?

Rits make an extrordinary support class, they can really make everyone elses job easier. No monk worth his weight in tanned hide squares has ever said no to a rit bringing some extra restoration skills, and anyone who gets Ancestors rage applied through them is very glad they brought the rit along.

as for an actual general purpose build most of what people have said here is right on. [skill]ancestors' rage[/skill] is great so is [skill]splinter weapon[/skill] for damage boosting. [skill]life[/skill] [skill]spirit light[/skill] [skill]mend body and soul[/skill] and [skill]recuperation[/skill] are all great healing skills to bring as well.

one thing though, don't feel to constrained to simply be a support buffer all the time, with different secondaries and skills the rit can do many things more than hit their allies with heals and weapon spells. for example, [skill]barrage[/skill]+[skill]splinter weapon[/skill] is good, so is [skill]nightmare weapon[/skill]+[wiki]triple shot[/wiki], and in my experience I haven't found anything with a higher DPS from attacking than [skill]spirit's strength[/skill]+[wiki]weapon of aggrestion[/wiki].

just my two cents

I've found that one of the best things about the Ritualist is their ability to do everything at once. You can summon a spirit of Recuperation to heal allies in the area, then use [card]Essence Strike[/card] to damage a foe and gain energy from the spirit you summoned to heal! Unfortunately, Ritualists have almost zero synergy with other professions, since many of their abilities are almost exclusive to the Ritualist. (Item spells and Weapon spells respectively.)

Unless you plan on spirit spamming (not recommended) then spawning power isn't essential. This frees up your attribute points to invest in TWO secondary attributes, like Channeling and Restoration, making it far easier to both deal damage and buff allies at the same time like you wanted to.

What campaigns do you have? If you like damage, minion bomber is good, but it's not much for buffing your party. Also, spirits got nerfed.

I actually can't agree with that at all. a Rt/N with high spawning power and death magic using Death Nova and Signet of Creation on your minions can deal a great ammount of damage and very useful. also a Rt/R using Nightmare Weapon and Ignite Arrows and Tripple Shot can be a very very good attacker. I personally think the Rit synergizes with secondary profesions better than almost any other profession
